Navjot Singh Sadhu has submitted his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. He left the BJP before the 2017 assembly elections and joined the Congress.

In his resignation letter sent to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Sadhu has written that the downfall of one's character begins with compromise. I can never compromise on the future and welfare of Punjab.
